Welcome to the Guestbook!

I'm always eager to read your comments about my books and stories, so please feel free to pitch in. Here are a few things for you to know:

1) I answer the messages here personally.

2) No message shows up here until I actually answer it. To prevent spam and other inappropriate postings. So there will sometimes be a delay before your message posts, especially if I am traveling.

DEEP APOLOGIES! Due to a glitch in the Guestbook I have not been receiving notifications of new messages for some months now. I should have spotted this, but I have been so busy with so many things that it went right by me. But yesterday (February 9) I started wondering about it, and when I went into the Guestbook registry I was horrified to find dozens, maybe even hundreds, of unanswered messages. I'm beginning to work on taking care of the backlog, but it's going to take me some time. If you left a message, my apologies for not having responded. (By the way, this is a good reason to fill in your email when you leave a message. It does NOT appear in the public guestbook, but it does mean that you will get a notification when I answer you.)

-Bruce Coville

Dear Bruce,I was reading through your guestbook. Its rather amusing. I like the "I liked you book, bye" messages. I was wondering if you might give me a little hint as to what your next magic shop book will be about. I was thinking about them and I remembered how they all came from the same town with the same circumstances. I was curious as to if (when) they will meet each other. Is this some grand scheme to set up a bunch of kids with specail gifts to go on an adventure or have I been up to long and being kinda paranoid. I was curious what is your favorite series? and is there a future for Dragon Slayers?

Dear Bruce,Well, its been a while Bruce. How are you doing? I am fine. I am going to a local community college called San Jacinto. I am the online editor at their newspaper. I am very pleased with your newer books. I loved skull of truth. Its great how it gets kids interested in classical literature. The new alien series is great. and I know your waiting for it. Its about DANG TIME! you wrote that second Unicorn book! I am thrilled.I haven't yet to get the new horror book. I just got done reading the first book in the SGA series.I just thought of that nick name BTW. (sixth grade alien) I saw a web address! Me being a web crawler I couldn't resist. It's like 4 in tha morning. Never could put one of your books down. I'm sure you glad to hear that I still enjoy your books. I just finished the latest book in the (WOT) Wheel of Time series by Robert Jordan. Still have my three book theory. My brothers help out on that though. two paper backs and a hardback. We are sentimental fools. My brother is writing a book which doesn't look to come out any time soon. I will have a book written in a couple of years. So watch out for Cousins! I do alot of peotry which you can read on my web site. and I also write songs for a local band. Well I only meant to write a quick little something but its turned into a letter. Never can write anything short, right? ;) Well I should get some sleep now. write me back sometime, but get to your avid little readers first. I can't believe I was ever that young! BTW I will be 18 in january.Sincerely,Cole Cousins

Dear Bruce Coville,You are the best writer in the universe. I like every one of your books, even though I don't have every one of your books. I am most interested in your alien books. I just can't get off from reading I WAS A SIXTH GRADE ALIEN. It is so interesting and good that at school I even bring it out to recess to read to myself. Are you going to make any more of the series ALIENS ATE MY HOMEWORK? I have already read ALIENS STOLE MY BODY from that series. And are you going to make any more SPACE BRATS? I have really wanted to read more of the series. I have already read THE SABER-TOOTHED POODNOOBIE. In fact, when my dad has read a story to me, later that night when he doesn't know it, I am reading Bruce Coville. Your books are thousands times cooler than any other books. I hope you never retire. I am 8 now, and I started reading SPACE BRAT (which is the first Bruce Coville book I have ever read) when I was six. Please write new alien series.Sincerely,Cooper Whittlesey (to the best writer ever)

I love to read. My favorite kinds of books are fantasy and sci-fi. That is why you and J.k Rowling are tied for my #1 authors. Your books are so creative, intersting and imaginative that I could never put your your books down until I was dead tired. I have read every book in your Aliens ate my homework series, I have read two books in your My teacher...series, Space Brat # 1,2,3,5 Aliens Fried my brains and My Teacher Glows in the Dark (which I have read four times because it is my favorite book of all time). I used to have a problem with writing. I have read and printed out your list of writing tips, and I just want you to know how that it has been extremely helpful to me. Thank you very much. I just have a few questions to ask you: When I have an idea in my head it seems like it would look good on paper, so I write start writing it down and it doesn't seem as good as it did in my mind. If you understand what I mean, can you please answer me. My second thing is about a journal. Through your experience with a journal can you please tell me what I should try and focus on in my journal. For my third and final subject, How do you come up with peoples names in your stories? In the past when I have written stories I can only think of people I know for my characters. Thank you so much for your time.If you are ever in Michigan please E-mail me so I can finnaly see you face-to-face. Keep those books coming. Your # 1 fan, Jacob

Hello Bruce. I read many of your books when I was in grade five. After when I finished the book "I left my sneaker in dimention X", I tried to find the book "Searching for snout" in book stores but could not find it. Well I still could not find it and now I'm in grade 11. So I guess I'm too old to read your books now. But I still read books that are science fiction like yours.

The imagination and wonderful stories you had to tell.. from the "My Teacher is an Alien series" to the Magic shop books kept me busy for many an afternoon, even at age 8! Thank you for all of the great books, and keep on writing! -Dan

Hello all who are reading this. I really can't wait for "Song of the Wanderer" to come out. I amstill writing books and short storys but I don't think I will ever publish any. Has anyone everheard of fan-fic's? I have written some "sailor moon" fan-fics and I would like to write a "Into theLand of the Unicorns" fan-fic. I think I need some sort of legal permission though. I have notwritten in this guest book but once. I would like to know if I could get permission to postpictures, sayings, or anything or write anything (that has to do with Bruce Covilles books) on mywebsite. I am going to make more frequent visits to this site and hope to hear from people. Ihope that anyother visiters to this site will e-mail me. My old elementary school Malta Avenue always had a book fair that you could visit during lunch and buy books. It was there that I found a cool-looking book with two funny-looking aleins were hugging each other in fear and a big monster was rising up behind them (fuzzygrumper). I was really into aleins in second grade and I loved to spend money so I spent the two bucks for that book. I read it for the rest of lunch and got so interested I hadn't realized that everyone had left! Since then, I was able to buy Space Brat 3, then1, then 4. Since then, I've loved your books. In fifth grade, I bought Aliens ate my homework and my teacher glows in the dark. I've read almost every book of yours and now that I found that there's a fourth Alein Adventures book, I have to read that. So overall, all I really want to say that I think your the best author in the world for all ages and you've been such a huge influence to me that I think that I'll become a writer when I grow up (or an NBA player!).Sincerely, Will Ahern(6th Grader!).
