I really like the middle part of the book, JEREMY THATCHER, DRAGON HATCHER, because it's where the teacher gets the hot foot. I also like the part where Mary Lou comes to Jeremy's house.

So glad you liked JEREMY THATCHER. I based that art teacher on a very bad teacher my little sister had when she was a kid. Writing that scene where Tiamat gave him a hotfoot was a lot of fun!
As to a movie - people have been trying off and on for about 20 years to get a film of this book going. Maybe someday . . . maybe.

I'm so glad you liked JEREMY THATCHER. I have been publishing books for 40 years now . . . but I have been writing them for even longer, because it usually takes quite a while to get your first book published. I started writing when I was about 18 and I am now 68.

The reason Tiamat would get hurt in the portal was that she was caught between two worlds. If the portal closed while she was stuck that way . . . well, let's just say it wouldn't have been pretty.
Jeremy and Ti are still connected for many reasons - including that tooth that you may remember from the final scene in the magic shop.

Tiamat's name comes from Babylonian mythology. Even though the book is a fantasy, I did a great deal of research while writing it.

I found you by looking up when Nancy Drew and the secret of the old clock was made and one of your books was listed under similar books. I went to your website and I couldn't find your first book to read. can you please add "from oldest" in how you want the books listed part?

Hi, I absolutely love your series The Unicorn Chronicles and I was wondering if you were going to continue the series. Also, I'm doing an author study project on you and was wondering if you could give me information about you. Thank You!!!

Oh, this is a bit of a sore topic for me. I designed the series concept for the Unicorn Chronicles with the hope that I could work in this world for the rest of my life. But, to my own shame, it took me a long time to finish the first series of books. And by the time I had finished the first sequence the publisher was no longer interested in more.
The good news is, the publisher has returned the rights to me. I am working to get the stories back in print, first as ebooks and then, I hope, in print editions. If they are successful, I would love continuing to write stories about Luster for as long as I live.
As far as information about me, there is a bio on the website that is the best place to start.

I have been reading through your guestbook and am so pleased to see that you now have the rights to the Unicorn Chronicles! I devoured that series as a child, and that series, and many of Tamora Pierce's books inspired me to write. I have been wanting to reread the series, but my collection is incomplete as I must have purchased a couple of them at scholastic book fairs and then read the others as library books. I'm missing book one. At any rate, I would LOVE if they were republished as e-books (and print too) and would promote the heck out of them!
