1) I answer the messages here personally.
2) No message shows up here until I actually answer it to prevent spam and other inappropriate postings. So there will sometimes be a delay before your message posts, especially if I am traveling.

Dear Mr. Coville,
I loved your books as a kid. Into the Land of the Unicorns was one of the very first books I ever read by myself. (I was so proud of myself after I read it! I then proceeded to reread it again and again for the next couple of years). My copy of that book suffered many a wear and tear. I remember waiting impatiently for The Song of the Wanderer to come out and, once it did, rereading it over and and over again.
Today, many, many years later, I stumbled on your books again at the library. I'm a student teacher for English right now, and I was trying to find ways to make Shakespeare accessible to students who are reading far below grade level. Once I saw your name on Macbeth, I knew I had to check the book out. And then I wished I could send you a message of gratitude (little did I know you actually use and check your guestbook! I was so happy to discover this when I got home!). Thank Mr. Coville. You were one of the very first authors I met through the pages of a book, and you are undoubtably one of the authors that made me fall in love with reading.

Many thanks for this wonderful message. I take great delight in the thought of you reading the unicorn books over and over again. Did you know that I finally finished the series? Though the original contract was for three books, it actually took four for me to get all the way through the story. Nearly broke my brain doing it, too. They just got bigger and bigger as I went on.
It also delights me to know that you are training to teach. I spent seven years in the classroom, teaching second grade, and then fourth, and they were some of the best years of my life. It is a great and honorable profession, and I hope your work with students will bring you much joy.
