I love your book Goblins in the Castle. My favourite part is when William meets Igor. I like this part because Igor is such a funny and interesting character. I just wanted to ask, where did you get the inspiration for your characters? Thanks for reading.

I am so happy that you loved the book. As I wrote in the Author's Note, IGOR had been a large and strange part of my life from well before I started the story. Because IGOR is so strange, we try not to talk about where he came from.
The other characters came, I think, from a lifetime of reading fantasy novels. The Baron, Hulda, and Karl are my versions of kind of standard characters in other books that I had loved.
