The boys are about to read the book titled The Weeping Werewolf. We are writing from Mooresville NC just north of Charlotte. We are very excited to read the book. We are curious why you only spent one year at Duke University. Happy belated Birthday, Mr. Miller celebrates his today. We will write again on Friday and let you know what we thought of the book!

I hope you will enjoy The Weeping Werewolf! I certainly had a good time writing it.
As to my only spending a year at Duke, there is no single, easy answer for that. My reasons for leaving were a complicated mix of the political and the personal. I was there in 1968-1969, and it is hard for anyone who was not alive at the time to realize what a crazy time it was in our country. Many things were in upheaval - me included.
I have often regretted that I left. Educationally speaking, I had a very, very good year at Duke.
