1) I answer the messages here personally.
2) No message shows up here until I actually answer it to prevent spam and other inappropriate postings. So there will sometimes be a delay before your message posts, especially if I am traveling.
3) Teachers, a gentle request: Please do not have multiple children send me variants of the same message. A group email is much easier to respond to and not such a drain on my time. My thanks in advance for being alert to this.

I've been so excited the last couple months because my boys (6 and 7) are old enough that I'm able to stay reading your books to them. I blew the dust off my collection and started reading the Magic Shop books to them. They have loved Monster's Ring and Jeremy Thatcher. Tonight I started Ghost in The Third Row with them, and after bedtime I sat on the couch in finished it. I so much love your books. They were very important to me as a kid and my boys are loving them too. Thanks to you, they'll both be readers I'm sure.

Thanks for this . . . one of my favorite things these days is learning that I'm what I call a "second generation writer." When I first started out, I could only dream that my readers would remember the stories with enough fondness to share them with their own children once they grew up. I can't think of a higher mark of success for a kid's book writer than that!
Of course, it also delights me to know that you still enjoy the books yourself! Thanks for taking the time to stop by and say so.
