Welcome to the Guestbook!
I’m always eager to read your comments about my books and stories, so please feel free to pitch in. Here are a few things for you to know:
1) I answer the messages here personally.
2) No message shows up here until I actually answer it to prevent spam and other inappropriate postings. So there will sometimes be a delay before your message posts, especially if I am traveling.
3) Teachers, a gentle request: Please do not have multiple children send me variants of the same message. A group email is much easier to respond to and not such a drain on my time. My thanks in advance for being alert to this.

Hey! I was at your workshop at the Herkimer Boces today and I wanted to say thank you for taking the time to help us expand our knowledge about writing. Also I wanted to thank you for all your amazing books!
Dear Mr.Coville,
I have been reading your book "Aliens Ate My Homework" to my fourth and fifth grade classes and they love it! During artistic response time many of them have fashioned aliens out of Model Magic (Grakker is their favorite character) and painted intergalactic landscapes. We have also made constellations out of mini marshmallows and toothpicks. In addition, the book has inspired many good conversations about bullying and our responses to being bullied. Thanks for all that you do!
Sincerely, Mamie B. Rock

I am writing to you to tell you that Riley and I are still working our way through all of your books, we have 33 left to read. This past week during his Thanksgiving break I read him the I was a sixth grade alien series. The stories were delightful but we were sad when they came to an end. We are both wondering what happened with the sixth grade class on Hevi-Hevi. As you know I have recently suffered a loss and I find reading your stories a good way to take a break from reality and a temporary break from my grief. It was a little difficult to do that though with the I was a sixth grade Alien series because of the character Dolores as that was also my mothers name. Do not worry though for I shall be fine. I'm trying to take things day by day and will continue reading to Riley as a way to escape from it all and share in the joy of reading with him. Next we are beginning the Space Brat Series and then will be moving onto The Bruce Coville Books of... Riley said he is most looking forward to The Book of Magic while I am excited to read The Book of Ghost. I wish you an early Merry Christmas and a hope that you have a wonderful holiday season.
