Welcome to the Guestbook!

I’m always eager to read your comments about my books and stories, so please feel free to pitch in. Here are a few things for you to know:

1) I answer the messages here personally.

2) No message shows up here until I actually answer it to prevent spam and other inappropriate postings. So there will sometimes be a delay before your message posts, especially if I am traveling.

3) Teachers, a gentle request: Please do not have multiple children send me variants of the same message. A group email is much easier to respond to and not such a drain on my time. My thanks in advance for being alert to this.

Hi Mr. Coville!! Have loved yout books since I was in like 2nd grade. I just reread skull of truth for like the 1000th time (thats how much I love it) and was wondering if you would ever write another book for it. The ending is so open ended and I want more haha. But I understand if you have more importantnprojects! Once again love your work and thank you for being a huge part of my childhood and still continue to be a part of my life today as an young adult!

Hi, Alex -

Many thanks for this. Though I think SKULL may well be the best written (in literary terms) of all my books, it has not been the most popular, so it always pleases me to hear from someone who really loves it.

I have thought about doing a book where some of the Magic Shop kids get together, but right now I am not on good terms with the publisher of the series, so it will have to wait a while.

The fact that you continue to read my books now that you are a young adult truly brings me joy.

All best,

BC

I believe when I was in 2nd or 3rd grade you came to my class at Emma Willard School and I have an autographed book. This was a long time ago since I now have a son who is in 2nd grade and I can not WAIT to introduce him to your books. They were a favorite of mine! Thanks so much for helping me share my love of reading with my own children.

Hi, Kate -

Lovely to hear from you. I remember coming to Emma Willard quite well -- partly because I thought your school might be a great setting for a Nina Tanleven ghost/mystery novel!

I can't tell you how it delights me to know that you will be introducing your son to my books! I LOVE being a two-generation author!

All best,

BC

I read Hatched yesterday and I loved it. Thank you for writing a book starring a griffin. There are not enough books out there with griffins.

Hi, Chrissy -

You are the first reader of HATCHED to check in! It's really a delight to know that you loved it . . . no matter what the reviews are (and they've been good) it's the reaction of my readers that really counts. Thanks for letting me know!
