1) I answer the messages here personally.
2) No message shows up here until I actually answer it to prevent spam and other inappropriate postings. So there will sometimes be a delay before your message posts, especially if I am traveling.

It's been a good five years since I last posted a message here. Has it really been so long? (bet you don't remember what I posted :P)
I just re-read through all four books of the Unicorn Chronicles, and am very saddened to hear what became of the Last Hunt's publication. I'm also sad to hear we may never see more of Luster.
As such the last book left questions I wish you could answer, but I understand if you can't.
1- "There are still seven in Luster. We don't talk about him." I'm never going to learn about that am I?
2- M'Gama and Namza. Er... they going to be okay?
3- Please tell me Medafil survived. The book kinda just stops talking about him.
4-What do you think Beloved would have said if she ever met Princess Twilight Sparkle from My little pony? XD
You can ignore that last one if you wish. Thank you ever so much for the books. We may not get more Luster books, but I'll be on the look out for anything Unicorn from you!

I have so many more stories I wanted to tell about the unicorns! Scholastic's fumbling of the 4th book kind of broke my heart.
Of your questions, the only one I can answer with certainty is that, yes, Medafil did survive. You are not the first to ask, so clearly I should have put in a bit more about him at the end. The others are things that I would work out in the process of writing the next story, should that ever come to pass.

Dear Bruce if you had a chance to make a 3rd book what would you call it? what grade did you teach? my favourite character is Igor. I made a picture of Herky I will send that in fan mail. my favourite book out of goblins in the castle or goblins on the prowl would be goblins in the castle.

I started teaching at second grade, then moved to fourth grade, where I felt totally at home.

Hello! My name is Meghan and I am in grade 5. My class just finished reading your book Goblins In The Castle and I/we all loved it! I wanted to ask you a few questions and give you a few comments for your awesome book. When you were writing Goblins In The Castle did you ever think that it would be published? How did you create the characters of the book? Could you relate yourself to anyone in the book? Those are the only questions I have so I'm now going to give you the comments. My favourite character was Herky because he had a good sense of humor, was very energetic, and he was honest. I also want to thank you for being an AMAZING author with a lot of imagination! Glad you loved GOBLINS! When I was writing it, I did think it would be published. Or, to be more precise, I HOPED it would be published. I wrote the first version in 1977, but it was almost 15 years later that I took it out of the file where it was stored, revised it, and found the right publisher.
When I taught 4th grade, I told me kids that Igor lived in the cellars under my house, and was only allowed out on his birthday, Halloween. So it was easy for me to relate to Igor.

Hey Bruce coville I noticed you replied to my message and I am very happy to ask were can I get goblins on the prowl, can I get it of this website?
And also what do you think about doing a book 3 after GOBLINS ON THE PROWL maybe GOBLINS ON THE PEAK it could be about fauna, igor , and William go to the peak of toadinacage Castle and find the orb that keeps there town protected against any evil creatures and some goblins come and one bumps it and it falls and a big huge shield blows up and millions of mean older goblins come and attack. Yep, you can buy GOBLINS ON THE PROWL directly from us. It's a little tricky, though, because the website is not set up for shipping to Canada. So the best thing for you to do is write to accounts@fullcastaudio.com and my bookkeeper can figure out the postage and you can work out how to get the book. I will, of course, be happy to autograph it ffor you.
I don't know if I'll write a third book or not. I like your title idea though!

I'm glad you're enjoying JEREMY THATCHER! I love writing those cliffhanger endings. Sometimes they come naturally, other times I have to work to find the exact right way to end a chapter.

Oh, it took me YEARS to come up with the plot for GOBLINS. I wrote the first draft of the book in 1977. Then, because it didn't work, I put it away for a long time. It wasn't until 1991 that I finally pulled it out again and figured out how to make it work!

There are many secrets about Igor (he really is mysterious!) so there is not much I can tell you about him.
You are the first person to ask me about a third book. I have been thinking about that . . . but since there were 23 years (!) between the first book and the second, I am not sure I will live long enough to write third one! ;>

Hi!!!!!😋 I read your short story Old Glory. I just wanted to tell you how good it was. I loved the irony of the uniforms of the Uncles. And how a phase that meant Save Our Souls, now it means Shoot on Sight. You have a very good sense of irony and I loved all of the hidden meaning. Now to the questions!

This is the only story I can remember writing from pure rage, when the first President Bush was pushing for a constitutional amendment to ban flag burning - which, to my mind, was trashing the First Amendment for some short term political gain.
I can't remember how many drafts I did for this, as it was quite a long time ago. I've never done less than three drafts, and usually it is many more than that. My most recent book had about 15 drafts.
