Welcome to the Guestbook!

I’m always eager to read your comments about my books and stories, so please feel free to pitch in. Here are a few things for you to know:

1) I answer the messages here personally.

2) No message shows up here until I actually answer it to prevent spam and other inappropriate postings. So there will sometimes be a delay before your message posts, especially if I am traveling.

3) Teachers, a gentle request: Please do not have multiple children send me variants of the same message. A group email is much easier to respond to and not such a drain on my time. My thanks in advance for being alert to this.

I just finished reading the third book of the Unicorn Chronicles and want to thank you and tell you how much I look forward to "The Last Hunt". The inspiration and enthusiasm you've created for me and everyone who reads is quite a legacy. It has been a joy and a pleasure to read these books left behind by my daughter who has gone off to college this year. Many, many thanks.

Hi, Joan -

Thanks for this. I got a big smile out of why you happened to be reading the books right now. And I am thrilled that you find the story so compelling.

Hi Bruce,
Several years ago I stumbled upon your website and signed your guest book. I was so thrilled that an author would respond to me. I'm still impressed that you respond to everyone in your guest book! Thanks for taking the time for this!

Hi, Morgan -

Thanks for checking back in. I wish I could claim a clean record for responding to everyone. Alas, between an extremely busy stretch and a period when due to some glitch the guestbook stopped sending me notifications of new messages, I got far behind. Still trying to catch up!

All best,

Dear Mr. Coville, we just finished the My Teacher is an Alien series and really want to know more about what happens to Peter. Also, any more information on Rod Albright would be really great. Is there any connection between the different book series?
Reply by Bruce Coville
Hi, Ethan and Eli -

Glad you want to know more, as there are three more books in the MY TEACHER series! You can find all about what happened to Peter in the 3rd book, MY TEACHER GLOWS IN THE DARK.

The Rod Albright series and the MY TEACHER series are completely separate. I can tell you two things: 1) Rod is based on me! 2) There might - just might - be a made for DVD movie about Rod and the crew coming down the pike. Keep your fingers crossed for it to get made, and for it to be good!

Dear Mr. Coville, We have read all of the Moongobble books. We loved them. Please write more Moongobble books. It is a good series. We have lots of questions. We want to know what Moongobble is going to use the Dangly Boo for. Does Edward have a baby brother or sister? What will happen to Oggledy Nork? Do the old woman and Oggledy Nork get married? Why did you stop writing Moongobble books? From Mrs. Winters' 1st grade class Snow Springs Elementary Lehi, Utah

Hello, Gang!

I would definitely like to write more Moongobble books. Alas, my publisher doesn't seem to be interested in having any more. Sigh.

I don't know the answer to any of your questions. Those are the kind of things I would have worked out if I was writing the next book!

I am soooo glad you have enjoyed the ones that you've read. I had a blast writing them!

Hi,
I have only read one of your books probably 15 years ago with my little brother - but remember it quite fondly: Goblins in the Castle. We loved "Bop!". I'm looking forward to reading the sequel this summer. I have a 2 year old son and will be reading your books to him when he's older. Have you thought about writing for a much younger audience (2-4)? Take care.

Hi, Andrea - I love that you still remember Igor and his bopping!!

I've written a handful of picture books, out of print now alas, but nothing for as young as 2. The "Moongobble and Me" books are written at a about a 2nd grade reading level but many parents have told me that their four year olds like hearing them.

Thanks for writing!

Hi, Gang -

It makes me happy to know you read the whole series. Did you know I used to be a grade school teacher? Reading to my class was my very favorite part of teaching, so I love knowing that other teachers are now reading my books to their classes.

I wrote you another message about why there are no more Moongobble books. I would love to do more. My wife (who did the pictures) and I had a blast creating them!

Your friend,

Bruce Coville
